Who will take care of it?
Sometimes when I saw something from the real world being processed into digital material: data, files, or labels, I will think about a similar processing in the voice encoding.
In the early telephone communication system, to make the speech from people can be carried by the cable, the voice will be encoded into bytes.
A part of the encoding is for every single sampled voice, give it a binary value. If it’s a 8 bits data, it will range from 0 to 255. Thus no matter the speech is from the Italian opera legend Luciano Pavarotti or a little baby, a slice of the voice will take only one of the number sets from 0 to 255.
Think about that. Isn’t it uncomfortable to see every corner of the world being labeled?
